Senior Congress Leader and MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today visited the fire sufferers at Thathri Bazar, district Doda in which four residential complexes owned by Bashir Ahmed Butt, Shabir Ahmed Butt, Nazir Ahmed Butt all sons of Nasrullah Butt and Bilal Ahmed, beside the house of Dr. Raiz Ahmed Zarger who is houses were gutted in a devastating fire incident.Saroori was accompanied by senior officers including Tehsildar Thathri Ghulam Nabi Malik, Executive Engineer R&B Madan Lal, Executive Engineer PHE Nitya Lal Raina, TSO Thathri Pankaj Kumar, AEE PMGSY Thathri Akhtar Hussain Shah, ZEO Thathri Riya Ahmed Zargar, SHO Thathri Pushpinder Singh and officers of different departments.Mr. Saroori interacted with the fire victims and assured them that the government will take all possible steps for their rehabilitation. He also directed the officers to prepare a comprehensive report about the extent of damage so that adequate compensation can be provided to them.
Later Mr. Saroori took stock of situation arises due to heavy snowfall in Thathri, Dunadi and Khara in district Doda and directed the concern administration to provide all the basic amenities to the people hassle free.He said the road clearance and restoration of important public services that have been affected by the heavy snowfall should be first concern of the government officials.During the meeting detailed discussions were held with regard to opening of road links, snow clearance from interior roads, restoration of electricity and supply of essentialities including ration, LPG & K Oil to the people."There is urgent need of keeping eye on hoarders, black-marketers and unscrupulous elements who utilize the unfavorable situation for increasing the prices and creating false scarcity of essentials," Saroori said directing the officers to be vigilant and make regular market checking a necessary feature in their daily functioning.He also asked them to make sure that sufficient quantity of essentials and fuel is available across the Tehsil Thathri.
Saroori was given detailed account of the stock and supply position of essentials, restoration of public services including clearance of roads, power and water supply. He was informed adequate essential commodities sufficient for one month are stocked in the Valley besides kerosene oil and cooking gas.The prominent among those Congress block President Thathri Mohammad Iqbal Teli, Working block President Asgar Khangi, President IYC Inderwal Mohammad Latief Mughal, Sarpanches Abdul Razzak, Noor Mohammad, Hari Ram, Ali Mohammad, Mohd Shafi, Raj Kumar, Chaman Lal, Farooq Ahmed, Sarfraz Khan, Nek Alam, Waseem Ul Haq, Mansoor Ahmed, Mohd Rafique, Noor Maey, Abid Hussain, Mushtaq Ahmed were also present.
