Oakridge International School celebrated the Sports gala with great pomp and show. The event began with the March Past from the houses. Torch lightening was done by the School Director, Abhishek Sharma and the School Principal, Ramanjit Ghuman and was then carried by the sports stars of the school. The school head girl, Alisha Singh Later, spoke the Sports Oath. After declaring the meet open by Principal Ghuman students participated in various field and track events sprints, relay races, long jump, high jump and shot put. Many other eye-catching, captivating displays and activities were lined up all of which were whole heartedly enjoyed and appreciated by the audience.
Jasmine Kaur and Harpreet Kaur were the best athletes in girls and Harshit Nanda and Bikramjit Singh in the boys. The house cup was awarded to Picasso house due to their exemplary performance throughout the year. While encouraging the winners Principal Ghuman said that we need to build a sports culture so that students can get opportunities to excel in international events. At the end to boost the morale of the students prizes were given to the winnersSchool Director Sharma said at the moment that students should be given adequate exposure to co-curricular and extra-curricular activities along with the curriculum so that they may excel in their life .
