Slapping case of sedition against students and teachers of Jawah Lal Nehru University (JNU) is a glaring act of undemocratic attitude of Indian rulers and growing intolerance in India. From last many years suppressing voices of dissent especially that of Kashmiris is worst kind of dictatorship. This was stated by chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik who was released on bail after seven days of incarceration from center jail Srinagar.Condemning the intimidating students and teachers of JNU and slapping charges of sedition on them, Yasin Malik said that at one time civil society movement and freedom of speech, used to be very strong and Kashmiris were invited by Indians to put their point of view before Indian people but from last many years, this has changed and Kashmir enmity and intolerance is increasing day by day.He said that today situation is such that students and teachers who staged protest against illegal and inhuman hanging of father of Kashmir nation Muhammad Maqbool Butt and martyr Muhammad Afzal Guru demanding their mortal remains to be handed over to Kashmiris are slapped with charges of sedition.Mohammad Yasin Malik said that this act of rulers is intended to ruin the future of these students and also a poly to suppress voices of dissent with force. He said that today raising voices against tyranny are termed as sedition while as Hindu fanatics are free to glorify even killing Ghandi Jee.

Mohammad Yasin Malik while criticizing international community and civil society for their criminal silence over this growing intolerance and anti-Kashmir behavior said that international community and civil society should fulfill their obligation and safeguard the future and lives of innocent students and teachers.Meanwhile JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik has expressed his grief and sorrow over the demise of Mujahid Shamim Ahmad Mir.
