Deputy Commissioner Mr Ravi Bhagat today conducted a surprise check at the premises of Suvidha Centre in Mini Secretariat, here. During his check, he interacted with people who had come for getting their work done, besides issued directions to the staff that no person should feel harassed for getting his or her work done in all government offices, including Suvidha Centres.He said that all officials working in government offices should understand that helping people coming to them for work is their foremost duty. "The officials should remain polite and should always carry out their work in stipulated timeframe so that no time is wasted," he told the officials of the Suvidha Centre, here.>
Mr Bhagat also asked the Suvidha Centre officials that no agents should operate in their area and only applicants should be entertained. He also inquired from the applicants whether their work was done in set time and whether they faced any problem. Almost all the applicants assured him that they did not face any problem.The Deputy Commissioner also directed the staff that they should install a "May I Help You" desk in their premises so that people coming for work there should be directed towards the right counters. He also asked the staff to maintain proper cleanliness in the premises and proper seating arrangement should be kept.Mr Ravi Bhagat said that he would visit other government offices on regular basis as well "because I want no applicant or resident should feel harassed or problem for getting his or her work done," he stated.
