With the huge asset base on prime locations all over the state, Jammu Kashmir Tourism Development corporation (JKTDC) is all set to emerge as one of the best corporations in the country after 2014 deluge damaged its major part in Srinagar and other locations which had turned it non-operational but it was the round the clock hard work of the corporation management lead by its versatile workaholic MD Farooq A shah which has not only made the damaged assets fully operational but has upgraded the infrastructure which is comparable to any best tourism corporation of the country.In a statement issued to KNS, the employees of corporation are very happy because the present management has taken care of employees by disbursing the long pending liabilities and salaries, says Muhammad Shafi Shaida, General Secretary of JKTDC employees union.
According to Shafi the JKTDC employees are capable professionals but because of the delayed salaries their morale was low and the present MD Farooq A shah has taken care of this problem which has boosted the motivation and morale of the corporation employees to work hard and efficiently, Shafi Shaida adds that the present management under the guidance and leadership of Farooq A shah is putting all efforts to make JKTDC one of the best in the country and we all are with his fresh initiatives like creating of professional corporate culture in all units ,separate wing for skill enhancement of human resource ,separate marketing wing to promote JKTDC apart from upgradation of the cottages and hutments all over the state which is turning JKTDC as a priority lodging and boarding option for the tourists.The spokesperson of JKTDC employees union Karamchand Bhardwaaj echoes the same view about the present management lead by MD Farooq A shah and says that MD JKTDC is very strict disciplinarian and has kept his all phone numbers written on the counter of all units so that the complaints if any can be directly made to the MD who shows no mercy to the violators indulging in any wrong practice or poor service.Karam Chand adds that the present MD has a dream to see JKTDC one of the best corporation of the country as he has made it possible to revive the damaged infrastructure of JKTDC in a record time frame like Pahalgam club, TRC complex Srinagar, upgradation of Cheshmashahie hutments and other infrastructure all over the state.
Punita Raju says that we have full faith the way Farooq shah has improved the corporation service and facilities we will prefer to use the JKTDC accommodation and other services as a priority in 2016 onwards.Naveen Kandu of leisure tours says that we have seen the upgraded infrastructure of JKTDC and will prefer it as option first in summers to book it for accommodation .Rajeev Kohli the president of SITE the world tourism body and chairman of creative travel adds that in the dynamic leadership of Farooq A shah, JKTDC has improved in all respects and will emerge as one of the best corporations in future as Farooq A shah is putting his best and knows to utilize the best human resource available in JKTDC.
