Provincial Youth National Conference President Ajaz Jan on Wednesday assailed PDP-BJP for plunging Jammu and Kashmir into political uncertainty, saying their politics of opportunism stands exposed before the people.Speaking at a function at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan here this afternoon held to welcome several prominent activists of Congress and BJP into Youth National Conference, Jan said that the opportunistic combination of the PDP-BJP failed to satiate the aspirations of the people during its ten months misrule and retarded the growth of development initiated by the previous Omar Abdullah led government.The Provincial Youth National Conference President urged the new entrants to get activated in their respective areas to identify problems confronted to the people and seeking their redressal at appropriate levels. He said National Conference is a mass movement that has always stood by the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and espoused their cause by offering numerous sacrifices.
Jan hoped that joining of more and more youth will further strengthen National Conference and help it fight machinations of divisive, disruptive and deceptive elements. He said divisive politics is not in the interest of sensitive state like Jammu and Kshmir and “we will not allow their sinister designs to succeed”.He cautioned the youth workers to guard against elements whose ultimate destination is to seek power by hook or crook. He said the existence of PDP and BJP is based on deception and like chameleons they have been changing colours and exploiting the people on religious and regional lines.The new entrants pledged to carry forward the mission of National Conference by further cementing bonds of unity and amity between various segments of society.Those who joined the Youth national Conference included Sunil Rana from Congress, Vishal Bangotra and Vikram Manhas from BJP.Present on the occasion included Rohit Bali and Jatin Bhat Vice Presidents of the YNC, Imtiaz Zargar, Tejinder Pal Singh, District President Samba Riaz Malik, Karandeep Singh,Nitish Goswami, Asif Ali, Ghulam Hussain Chachi sarpanch, ML Munshi, Mohd Rafiq Dar, Rohit Kirni, Rahul Sharma, Sunil Sharma and others.
