Pradesh Congress Committee held an extraordinary meeting of Prominent Congress Leaders, Workers and senior party functionaries of District Budgam at Budgam Wednesday, which was presided over by MLC and vice President Gulam Nabi Monga. Those who addressed the meeting included Vice President Mohammad Anwar Bhat District President Budgam Zahid Hussain Jan, Senior Leader Gulam Nabi Mir Lasjan and others. The meeting expressed serious concern over the political crisis pertaining due to absence of the elected government in the State and the issues confronting people in all the three regions.Speaking on the occasion Gulam Nabi Monga asked both PDP and BJP to open their cards and let the common people know about their so called agenda of alliance. Much has been said by PDP and BJP about the agenda of alliance, but what is the agenda of alliance, he questioned.

He said people of the State have been put to a great loss by both PDP and BJP, but this is unfortunate that both the Parties despite being in coalition, have maintained distance, for the sake of saving their sinking boats, but the fact remains they have betrayed the people for the sake of power, he said.Seeking clarity from PDP on the agenda of alliance, Gulam Nabi Monga said that if the PDP is not satisfied why don’t it divorce it’s coalition Partner thereby paving the way for fresh elections, he questioned. He further said both PDP and BJP have betrayed their respective mandates, for the fact, two political parties with two different ideologies tied the knot for the sake of coming into power, he said.
