Director BIS Archana Rohela said at the moment that the students of today are the managers of tomorrow. They will occupy positions of importance in industrial units as well as government organizations. Unless students are conversant with the principle and practices of Standardization, Quality Systems and related subjects, it would not be possible for them to incorporate quality in the goods and services delivered by them. This would mean that the students, inter-alia, will have to be exposed to the concepts of standardization, its benefits and availability of Indian Standards on a variety of subjects.
Assistant Director BIS Saurav Verma provided an overview of standardization, quality and the importance of the standards in engineering industries and explained how the standardization has enabled us to compete in the world market.While encouraging the students Chairman Indo Global Sukhdev Singla focused on the importance of such kind of seminars for being inculcated in current education system .According to him overall the seminar was educative and enlightened the students with the knowledge of the importance of standards in industries.
