To motivate the youngsters to participate in sports, the Youth development Board will distribute the grants for the sports kits to budding sportspersons, Village clubs and Gyms. This was informed by director Youth Development Board Meetpal Singh Dugri. Meetpal Singh Dugri said that the Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal has sanctioned the grant of Rs ten crores for the youth development Board. The decision was taken during the meeting of Directors of youth development Board with Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal.Director of youth development Board and Zonal president of Student Organisation of India (SOI) Meetpal Singh Dugri said that the Youth Development Board was formed by Deputy CM and now he has granted ten crore grant for the development of Youth. This grant will be distributed by directors of board for purchasing sports kits for budding sportsperson, infrastructure of gyms, Village clubs and other demands of youth.>
Meetpal Singh Dugri said that they have informed Deputy CM regarding the demands of youngsters and he sanctioned ten crores as the first installments. The grants will be given to board by the government according to the demand list submitted by the directors of board.While thanking the state government and deputy CM, Meetpal Singh Dugri said that to motivate youngsters for sports activities always remain on the top agenda of the Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal and releasing grant for the Youth development Board proves the same. During the meeting cabinet minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, National Coordinator of SOI Parambans Singh Bunty Romana. Secretary General of Youth Akali Dal Parminder Singh Brar and all the directors of youth Development Board were present.
