An awareness programme on Quality Management Standards and Quality Technology Tools was organized by Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises-Development Institute Jammu at Samba today. District Development Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda was the chief guest on the occasion.DDC  stressed on maintaining high standards of quality as it helps to maintain customer satisfaction. She also highlighted importance of quality for MSME in establishing brand loyalty among the customers.Director MSME-DI Jammu, Virinder Sharma informed that under cluster approach, Govt of India provides 80% financial assistance to MSME sector. He appealed entrepreneurs to avail benefit of 09 set of govt schemes which make MSME sector compatible with other industries.General Manager DIC, Samba Krishan Lal informed that out of 725 units registered in Samba, 555 belonged to MSME sector and proximity to markets of nearby states can help entrepreneurs in the district.During the training  Arun Kapila from Ludhiana guided participants on various aspects like ISO 9001:2008, Environment Management Standards, Regulatory requirements etc. Assistant Director MSME, Saheel Yaqoob Alaqband, President Association of Small and Tiny Industries Harbinder Singh and industrialists and entrepreneurs from Samba participated in the training programme.
