Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister, Radha Mohan Singh today addressed the Ist Convocation of Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Hisar, Haryana. In his address to students Shri Radha Mohan Singh said to students that “remember there is no room for complacency and for mediocrity, life is not bed of roses, you are likely to encounter setbacks at various stages, do not let these discourage you. Experiences decrease our mistakes and mistakes increase our experience. Learning is a lifelong process. I would like to emphasize that education is not merely getting good grades or academic awards. A good education system has to provide value based education which will lead to good society.” Shri Singh also said that “Taittriya Upanishad speaks about the moral and ethical ways to live for the students” and Shri Singh quote one of the shloka in Traittriya Upanishad which means “with knowledge, I am the mover of tree of the universe, my fame rises high like mountain peak, I am the brightest treasure, I am the shining wisdom, I am immortal and un-decaying. Indeed knowledge is the source of energy for wellbeing of humanity at large.”
