Weeklong awareness camp concludes at GDC, Ramnagar

A weeklong awareness camp being organized by National Social Services (NSS) concluded today at Government Degree College, Ramnagar.Principal of the college, Prof Tara Nath was the chief guest on the occasion. 50 NSS volunteers participated in the camp.During the camp, the volunteers interacted with the residents of the adopted village Thaplal and discussed about the issues related to education, health and hygiene. They informed the villages about the harmful effects of drugs. They also interacted with the students of Middle School, Thaplal and Primary Girls School, Thaplal over various issues.  In the camp, poster making and slogan writing competitions were organized on topics ranging from Stop Smoking, Stop Female Foeticide, Child Labor, Plant Trees and Pollution Free India in which the group of Rutivi, Nandini, Seema, Ankita, Alisha was adjudged as winner.The group of Reva, Sukanya, Nisha, Ayushi, Pallavi Rana, Anisha Sharma, Shagun Gupta, Meena Sharma managed to clinch second spot while as the group of Moneeta, Mukti, Meenaksh Sharma, Rushali and Nisha Devi managed to pick third spot.
