Chandigarh Group of colleges celebrates Republic Day at Jhanjeri campus with great enthusiasm. The students & staff participated in different cultural activities organized. The program began with unfurling of the National Flag by President Rachpal Singh Dhaliwal Students of CGC group presented a colorful cultural programme with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor which included Speeches, songs, plays, dances etc. Motivating speech, Group Dance & Solo dance on pediatric Songs were the main attraction of the event. “Maa tujhe salaam, Vande Matram, Saare jahan se achha Hindustan hamara and many other patriotic songs vented the skies over CGC Jhanjeri followed skits with theme on “Pride of India”, group dances, folk dances bhangra & gidha etc. were performed during enthusiastic celebrations of the 65th Republic Day. The entire campus was tastefully decorated with colourful flags and flowers.
President Rachpal Singh Dhaliwal while Speaking on this occasion congratulated the staff and students and extended their blessings and good wishes for their success in all walks of life. Dr. G.D. Bansal, Director General, CGC appealed to the students to put in the best of their efforts for the welfare of the society and service of the nation. The students of the Group took a pledge that they will defend the honour and pride of the country at all costs. At the end, sweets were distributed among all the staff members, students and workers of the institution.
