GoI approves Rs. 191.18 crore for WSS in the State

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh disclosed that Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India (GoI) has approved eight new Water Supply schemes for Himachal Pradesh, amounting to Rs. 191.18 crore, under Urban Infrastructure Development Schemes for Small and Medium Towns (UIDSSMT). He said that Centre Government has approved Rs. 19.14 crore for Rampur Water Supply Scheme, Rs.11.01 crore for Nagrota, Rs.17.43 crore for Kangra, Rs. 15.04 crore for Manali, Rs.82.18 crore for Mandi, Rs. 22.74 crore for Kullu, 16.37 crore for Nalagarh and Rs. 7.27 crore for Parwanoo Water Supply Schemes. Chief Minister thanked Union Urban Development Minister Shri Kamal Nath for extending liberal assistance and approving the mega water supply projects for the state. He asked State executive agencies for speedy execution of these schemes to benefit the people.
