Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr. Pawan Kotwal has stressed on facilitating and motivating the general public to reach the venue of Republic Day Celebrations and ensure maximum participation in the national event.The Divisional Commissioner was speaking at a meeting convened with the heads of various educational institution and social organizations here today.Dr Kotwal appealed  the general public to attend the function in large numbers to witness march-past parade, display of military prowess, tableaux , daredevil show and cultural programmes. He also appealed to the public not to carry mobile phones, pens, plastic bottles  at the main venue .

The Divisional Commissioner said that adequate arrangements have been put in place to facilitate the public to make the Republic Day function a success.Among others, District Development Commissioner Jammu, Simrandeep Singh, President, Chamber of Industry & Commerce Jammu, President, Retailers Association Jammu, President, Apsara Bazar Association Jammu, Director, Sainik Welfare Board Jammu, Principal, MAM College, Principal, Science College, Principal, Commerce College, Secretary General, Press Club Jammu were present in the meeting.
