A surprise check of the office of BDO Tikri was conducted by District Vigilance Officer (Additional Deputy Commissioner) Udhampur Angrez Singh Rana alongwith PO DRDA Dr J C Mehra, on the basis of complaint lodged by the Sarpanches of the Tikri area with regard to non-payments against the work done under MGNREGA and Swachh Bharat Mission by the BDO Tikri and unnecessary holding the files by the staff of BDO office Tikri.During the checking, record pertaining to payments has been seized and committee of officers has been constituted to ascertain the cause behind the non submission of bills by the engineers and malpractices, if any adopted by the officer/officials of the BDO office Tikri.
The Committee comprises Sukriti Sharma, District Panchayat Officer, Udhampur, Dr Pardeep Singh, BDO Udhampur, Simarjeet Singh, Additional Treasury officer, Udhampur and Uttam Singh, Assistant Director Planning.The Committee shall fix the responsibility for the lapses and submit the report to the District Vigilance Officer within 15 days.
