Dukhtaran-e-Millat president Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi Tuesday welcomed Pakistan for once again urging United Nations to hold plebiscite in Indian held Kashmir so that the people of the region can decide their future.  She has stressed upon the Pakistan to further its diplomatic efforts for the settlement of Kashmir issue in accordance with the UN resolutions. In a statement to CNS, Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi said that Pakistan’s UN Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi’s letter to the Security Council, in which she has urged the world body to hold the plebiscite in Kashmir, is a welcome step. She said that it was the duty of United Nations to get the Kashmir issue settled however the world body has failed to give the due and required attention to this long pending dispute which has claimed lakhs of lives so for.

She said that Pakistan should further take its steps on diplomatic levels to motivate the world community, particularly UN, to pressurize India for the resolution of Kashmir issue according to the aspirations and wishes of the people of Jammu Kashmir. Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi further said that anybody who expects a real breakthrough in any bilateral dialogue between India and Pakistan is naïve as India is not ready to shun its illogical stubbornness. She said that while Pakistan has once again engaged itself in talks with India, with an idea that India will show sincerity and seriousness and in reply India has once again demonstrated the age old rigidness.

“On one hand is India in talks with Pakistan and on other hand its external affairs ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup recently repeated this illogical claim that not only its occupied part but entire state of Jammu and Kashmir was  an integral part of Union of India”though it is Crystal clear that entire Azad kashmir and northern states have never raised voice against Pakistan or in favour of india  she said.Dukhtaran e Millat president clarified that the resistance leadership of Jammu Kashmir was not against the very idea of dialogue but India has since proved brute, rigid and deceiving. She said that let Pakistan again test and expose India but at the same time should steps be continued to gather support for the implementation of the historic UN resolutions on Kashmir. She said that it was  important for the reputation of UN itself that this highest world body gets its duty of resolving  Kashmir issue  fulfilled.

Meanwhile expressing concern over deteriorated health of Syed Ali Geelani, the DeM president has appealed  people to make special prayers for the recovery of leader. She said that though by the grace of Allah Geelani Sahb’s health has started showing improvement but more and more prayers are needed so that he recovers fully and resumes his routine. (CNS)
