The Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today expressed profound grief and anguish over the tragic incident of explosion in the solvent tank at the factory premises of Sanjeev Agro Pvt. Ltd. in Focal Point, Khanna, in which five persons were killed and 15 were seriously injured. Badal directed Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana to extend all possible help to the family members of the deceased and injured in this hour of crises. He also asked the district administration to provide the best medical treatment facilities to the injured free of cost and make necessary arrangements for the transportation of the bodies.Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs. 1 lac to the next of the kin of the deceased besides a financial assitance of  Rs. 25000/- for the seriously injured.The Chief Minister also expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved families and prayed to the Almighty to give them courage to bear this irreplaceable loss and grant peace to the departed souls.
