Manohar for acquiring modern education to compete in the open market

Exhorting the students to inculcate discipline by opting sports and other curricular activities besides studies as their main objective, the Minister of State for Fisheries and Cooperatives, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma said that every educational institution should encourage students to pulge their natural talent. He was speaking at an annual day function of Sacred Heart Convent School Phinter in Billawar today.Dr Shama added that in the present era of education, the role of teachers has become significant and vital in shaping the personalities of the pupils. He added that the modus oprendi of education has been transformed in recent years and it was imperative to adopt modern education techniques and curriculum to compete in the open market. A scintillating performance was given by the school students on the occasion which was based on the theme of national integration and also solo performances of different talents. Dr Manohar Lal Sharma appreciated the school administration for their academic achievements. He also lauded the students for presenting colourful performances during the function.Principal Joice Mathew in his address welcomed the guests. He called upon the students to work hard to follow their dreams. Later Dr Manohar Lal Shama distributed mementos and certificate among the meritorious students. He also gave away prizes among the participants of cultural programmes and solo performances.
