Government committed for preservation of cultural heritage: Chief Minister

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said that our rich cultural heritage was the integral part of our culture and the State government was committed for its preservation and promotion. He was speaking during the cultural programme organized by the Jubbal-Nawar-Kotkhai Students Union at Gaiety Theatre in Shimla today. Shri Virbhadra Singh said that the rich culture, vivid traditions, folk arts and life style of the people of the State were bedrock of our identity and we should strive to maintain them along-with the development. He said that cultural programmes were instrumental in promoting our culture and encouraging the spirit of brotherhood.The Chief Minister announced to grant Rs. 50,000 to the Union on this occasion. Shri Mukesh Agnihotri, Industries Minister, Shri Sanjay Chauhan, Mayor, MC Shimla, Shri Harish Janartha, Ex Deputy Mayor, Shri Pramod Sharma, Member BoD, SIDC, Shri Dinesh Malhotra, Deputy Commissioner and other prominent persons of the town were present on the occasion.
