Devotees know God and then remain submitted to Him all the time in all circumstances so much so that devotion becomes their daily life. They completely identify themselves will God and become one with Him.This was observed here yesterday by His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, Head of the Sant Nirankari Mission, while addressing the Bhakti Parv Samagam held by the Mission to remember and take inspiration from the devotees who expressed their devotion to God through physical service as ordained by Satguru – the True Master. The Samagam was attended by thousands of devotees not only from Delhi and its adjoining areas but various other parts of the country also.  Several delegates came from abroad. His Holiness said that to a devotee, faith and devotion is not a cake for a special occasions, it is his daily bread.  They take every step of their life in full realization of God. Devotion in their life is just like a mother who remains mother whether the child is young or grows up, lives anywhere in the world and in any circumstances.

Baba Ji said that devotees do not run away from material world. Escapers are never devotees, he observed.  Rather they face every challenge to remain steadfast in devotion.  Take the example of Kabir Ji, Ravidas Ji or Meerabai.  They remained hued in the colour of devotion despite all the hardships and opposition they faced.Similarly, devotees are not identified with a particular dress or its colour, certain signs and symbols or language and culture.  Nor rituals determine their state of devotion.  In fact nothing outward shows their devotion.  They are devotees from within. God dwells in their mind as well as heart and they realize His presence all the time everywhere in all circumstances.  And they are known by this devotion not only during their life here but till eternity.

His Holiness said that devotees do not run after worldly achievements. They treat material objects just as means to maintain themselves. Neither they seek name or fame. Like Hanuman Ji they just ask for devotion and no credit for even their achievements. Since they deny any entity for themselves they keep themselves aloof from praise as well as criticism. Their ego is not hurt simply because it doesn’t exist. Like a peacock, if they find something beautiful like its wings, they feel grateful to God but if there’s something ugly like its paws, they describe it as their own shortcoming. His Holiness prayed for every human being to know God and lead their life as His devotees with every moment of their life hued in His pine colour.

Earlier, Baba Ji’s holy mother Nirankari Rajmata Kulwant Kaur Ji said that this human life is a precious and rare opportunity for man to know God, unite with Him and show his devotion to Him. And this God-knowledge can be attained from a perfect True Master only. The one-day Samagam began with a colourful procession in which thousands of the Sewa Dal volunteers and other devotees of the Sant Nirankari Mission led His Holiness, his holy mother Nirankari Rajmata Kulwant Kaur Ji and his gracious spouse Pujya Mata Sawinder Ji in a beautifully decorated open vehicle, up to the Samagam Pandal. The procession was led by Sewa Dal band while leading organizers and preachers of the Mission were walking just in front of the vehicle. The participants carried placards with various slogans related to the ideology of the Mission.
