To mark conclusion of “Road Safety Week” celebration, the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Ramban organised an awareness programme on road safety at Bus Stand Ramban here today.District Development Commissioner Ramban Bashir Ahmed Dar was the chief guest and SSP Ramban Randeep kumar was the guest of honour on the occasion.During the celebration, various medical camps, awareness and motivational events were organised in different parts of the district by the MVD Ramban.Speaking on the occasion, DDC advised the participants to avoid over speeding, racing, drunken driving, use of mobile phone while driving, overtaking and underage driving to stop loss of precious human lives.The SSP threw light on causes of road accidents and suggested measures for prevention of such incidents.
Dy. SP Traffic Kameshwar Puri stressed upon the youth to bear helmet and seat belt while driving to avoid fatal injuries. He also advised them to obey traffic rules strictly.Inspector MVD Ramban, Officers of various departments, representatives of Transport Unions, staff members, drivers, conductors and prominent people attended the function.
