To observe 27th Road Safety Week, a symposium on the topic “Road safety – time for action” was organized in Degree College, Billawar in collaboration with Motor Vehicle Department Kathua. A large number of students from different colleges and schools participated in the symposium.SDM Billawar Dr. RS Charak, was the chief guest and Principal GDC Billawar Prof. Suresh Kumar Sharma, was the guest of honor on the occasion.Speaking on the occasion, the SDM stressed upon the students to not drive any vehicle without having proper driving license besides strictly following the traffic rules.Principal GDC Billawar Prof. Suresh Kumar, exhorted upon the students to refrain from violating the road safety rules for their own safety. Tavsum Kousar of Hr. Sec. School, Billawar won the first prize and Ms. Yasmine Ali of Govt. Degree College Billawar and Miss. Ruhi Mankotia of New Age Degree College, Billawar stood second and third respectively.
