The Shiromani Akali Dal today demanded immediate arrest of Congress leader Jagdish Tytler, the main architect of 1984 anti sikh carnage, who was also booked by the odisha police for organising riots, attemting murder of lady police officer and causing unrest in the society.
In a statement issued from the party headoffice here today, party Treasurer and Joint Secretary NK Sharma said that Shiromani Akali Dal since last 27 years had been demanding that keeping Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar free was harmful for whole society. He said that Congress party due to reasons known to everyone was saving Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar from custodial interrogation as they fear that they may spill the beans in the custody raising their finger on involvment of Congress high command in organising largest ever anti sikh carnage on the streets of national capital on India. He said that it was shameful for the largest democracy of the world that we could not give justice to more than three thousand sikhs who were killed in broad day light under the leadership of Tytler and Sajjan Kumar. He said that Congress party instead of ensuring stringent punishments to both the leaders had been awarding them with party tickets and posts. He said that SAD had opposed the appointment of Tytler as Incharge Odisha and Incharge of Congress Sewa dal and had demanded his immediate removal but Congress party struck to its old stand to award and honour him. He said that yesterday's organised riots by Jagdish Tytler and other Congressmen in Bhubneshwar vindicated the stand of the SAD that he was a hardcore and professional riot organisor whose services were being availed by Congress high Command.Demanding his immediate arrest and imprisonment for whole life for sake of safetier society, Sharma urged Judiciary should to take suo moto notice of the incident and order his immediate arrest.
