Kashmiri fruit merchant looted after consuming drug laced biscuit

A Kashmiri fruit merchant was looted on Jammu bound bus from New Delhi when a cheater offered him drug laced biscuit on Monday night.  Muhammad Amin Mantoo a fruit merchant from Pheripora Nehama area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district who is admitted in Government Medical College Jammu told CNS that he had gone to New Delhi for some business purposes. “After settling all accounts with my business partner in New Delhi I boarded a bus bound to Jammu. I was carrying Rs sixty thousand cash besides two bags containing important documents were also in my possession,” he said. Mantoo said that a co-passenger befriended me and offered me a biscuit. “Little did I know that it was laced with drugs? After consuming the biscuit, I lost my conscience and regained it in the hospital. The co-passenger who offered me drug laced biscuit looted everything.”   The driver left Mantoo in Jammu bus stand in unconscious state. His family members were informed and he was admitted in Government Medical College Jammu. Confirming the incident a police official said that biscuit bandits target unsuspecting passengers on trains and buses. “Biscuit bandits befriend passengers and offer drug laced biscuits to loot them of their valuables,” he said adding a case has been registered in this regard.
