Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, today reviewed the progress in the implementation of National Food Security Act in the district.District Udhampur has registered 100% updating of families on the online ration card database with forms of all 1,24,000 families comprising 5.85 Lakh souls uploaded in a record time after an extensive filling exercise completed last month.DC reviewed the fidelity check conducted at depot level by concerned Tehsildars and Teshil Supply Officers for ensuring accuracy and authenticity at depot level. He directed the Tehsildars to conduct a fresh exercise at their level and re-check the data at their level and ensure 100% accuracy of details. He informed that Director CAPD has been asked for issuing at least 1.20 Lakh ration tickets for distribution among the families in entire district immediately. Dr Shahid also complimented the field staff of Revenue, CAPD and officials of NIC and associated IT operators for accomplishment of the mammoth task in a record time and completion of 100% coverage on the ration card data base.
