National BJP Leader and Kisan Morcha Secretary, Advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal today appealed to the President of India Sh. Pranab Mukherjee to dismiss A.K. Ganguly from the post of (WBHRC ) West Bengal Human Rights Commission chief after the retired judge was accused of sexually harassing a law intern. In a press statement here today Grewal said that if A.K. Ganguly did not resign from his post even after the three member's committee of the Hon'ble Supreme Court indicted him for unwelcome behaviour with the law intern, the president should use his powers. He said that the president has power and he should use it to dismiss A.K. Ganguly from his post, Constitutionally. Grewal stated that the judges' panel report, submitted to Chief Justice of India P. Sathasivam Nov 28, said the statement of the law intern, now a lawyer disclosed, an act of unwelcome behaviour (unwelcome verbal/non-verbal conduct of sexual nature) by Justice ( Retd ) A.K. Ganguly with her in the room in hotel Le Meridien on Dec 24, 2012. He said that after considering the report, a full bench of the apex court ruled out any action from its side in the incident, as A.K. Ganguly was no longer a serving judge. So that he should be immediately dismiss A.K. Ganguly from the post of ( WBHRC ) West Bengal Human Rights Commission chief, Grewal added.
