“No one dares or dared to scold or confront me except Mufti Muhammad Sayeed. I never dared to confront Mufti and used to listen like a child whatever he told me. He was always right and whenever he admonished me, I felt after few days that he (Mufti) was right and I was wrong,” this was revealed by Minister for Health Chowdary Lal Singh shortly after the demise of Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed.Lal Singh told CNS that Mufti was a towering personality who never thought of personal gains. “He was having a unique personality who used to admonish every minister and used to compel them to work in the interest of people. Lal Singh is not habitual of listening to something but when Mufti used to admonish me, I used to act like a child and always listened to him. He was a legend who was the true sympathizer of people of Kashmir,” he said.
Responding to a question, Lal Singh said that Mehbooba Mufti will certainly be the next Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and BJP will whole heartedly support her. “The father-daughter struggled a lot to launch and establish their party and we have great regard for Mehbooba Ji. No one from BJP will oppose her and let me make it clear that there are no differences between PDP and BJP. Those who claim that BJP has reservations over Mehbooba taking as CM are misleading people and let me tell you that it will be the BJP which will request Mehbooba Ji to take over the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir,” Singh said.Singh said that people of Jammu and Kashmir don’t know what they have lost. “Mufti was the true well wisher of people and I personally know how much he wished to work for the people and take them out from miseries.” (CNS)
