Actors Vivek Oberoi and Sonali Bendre, and filmmaker Sajid Khan, who are currently seen as judges on the popular TV show “India’s Best Dramebaaz”, got emotional when they saw an act inspired from the 1996 film “Khamoshi: The Musical”.Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film featured actors Nana Patekar and Seema Biswas as a deaf and dumb couple. The film also starred Salman Khan, Manisha Koirala, Helen and Raghuvir Yadav.Contestants Kartikeya Malviya, Swasti and Twinkle Sharma left the three judges of the talent show emotional with a special deaf and mute act. While Kartikeya and Swasti enacted the deaf and mute parents, Twinkle played their daughter who communicates with her parents through sign language. “It was absolutely unbelievable. I cannot make out who among the three was better. For me, this is the best act on the show till date. The way all these children picked up the nuances of sign language perfectly leaves no doubt that they are complete entertainers,” Vivek said in a statement.

In the act, Twinkle’s character has to write a poem to participate in a poetry competition and doesn’t know how to go about it and keeps reminding her parents that they aren’t helping her in her work and she finds it difficult because neither of them can hear or talk.Sajid said: “Standing ovation is the sign of the highest mark achieved for any actor or performance. All three of them have done an awesome job. I will not be surprised if Twinkle starts receiving offers from Bollywood and television with the way she is surging head with leaps and bounds and proving herself as an all-round entertainer week after week.”Sonali shared that though it was a silent act, “their performance was impactful and touched our hearts". “It was a difficult act and these children managed to do it with such effortlessness that it reached out to us,” she added. The episode of “India’s Best Dramebaaz”, featuring the special act, will be aired on Sunday on Zee TV.
