‘Fateh Rally’ Postponed Due To Inclement Weather Conditions

The Shiromani Akali Dal President and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal and Mr Kamal Sharma President of the Punjab unit of BJP have  jointly decided to postpone the ‘Fateh Rally’ which was to be held on December 21st at Jagraon. Mr. Badal and Mr. Sharma said that the rally would now be held in February and its date would be announced soon.In a statement released from the party head office here today, the SAD Secretary and Spokesman Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that the weather forecast for the next three days and forecast of rain on December 21st is the reason for postponement of the rally. Keeping in view the weather forecast it was realized that it will be too inconvenient for the public to travel in thick fog and rainy conditions. Apart from it, it will also be difficult for the NDA leaders Mr. Narinder Modi to travel by air, so keeping in view all the conditions it was decided to postpone it to the February 2014. He said that new date would be announced soon.The SAD Spokesman also said that all the worker meetings which were scheduled to be addressed by SAD President Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal at Sangrur, Jagraon and Jalandhar on December 18 stand cancelled.
