Principal and Joint Director Trainings, State Institute of Education (SIE), Mtr. Suraiya Akhtar, inaugurated two 5-day workshops on short educational movie making and teachers skill development at SIE Bemina, here today.She informed the participants that educational technology wing of SIE is organizing the workshop on the movie making which is based on secondary level content. Thirty computer professionals from 10 districts of the valley, with three from each district and 10 subject experts from SIE faculty are participating in these workshops.
The workshops are aimed to prepare content based educational movies to display in the classroom for teaching purposes and also to learn the requisite skill of educational movie making, she added.To upgrade the skill development of teachers another 5-days workshop of teachers/RPs in English was organized by language wing of SIE in which 50 participants from Kashmir valley including five from each district.She stressed upon the participants to benefit from these workshops and experts faculties and implement the experience in schools, transfer the skills and techniques learnt among other fellow teachers so that the teaching learning process will become more interesting and effective. To make these workshops successful she directed the participants to remain punctual.Officials and teachers of SIE were present on the occasion.
