BJP state president and MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma today appointed Prof Hari Om as Political Advisor to the party President. Prof Hari Om had earlier served the party as state BJP Vice-President and Chief Spokesperson for years.He also broad-based the State Executive Committee by nominating Suraj Singh as State Additional Publicity Secretary, Abdul Rehman Lone (Kashmir) and Mohan Lal Prashar as State Executive Members besides appointing Bashir Ahmed Jogal as State President Scheduled Tribe Morcha. Puran Chand will function as General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir ST Morcha.
Jugal Kishore Sharma said that these inductions in the list of state office bearers will surely strengthen the party. He said the mission of the sate BJP is to work with single minded devotion to join BJP Prime ministerial candidate Sh Narendra modi’s congress-free-India crusade and achieve the 272 –plus target. He said the BJP is all set to win a minimum of 3 Lok Sabha seats in the state, including two from Jammu and one from Ladakh, and strengthen further the party’s support- base in Kashmir where many nationalist Muslims are joining the BJP to enable it promote mainstream politics and neutralize the baneful influence of the pro- autonomy NC, pro-self-rule PDP and pro-separatist congress party.
The state BJP president said that the mission of the BJP for 2014 is not only to win a minimum of 3 Lok Sabha seats in the state but also to emerge as the single largest party in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly by winning at least 35 seats, including 28 from Jammu, 2 from Ladakh and 5 from Kashmir. He said the assessment of the party leadership is based on the ground realities which have undergone a radical change with the emergence of the Narendra Modi phenomena across the nation. He said even PDP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Muzzaffar Hussain Beig on December 15 said that “the Modi wave will wipe out the Congress party in Jammu in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections”. Jugal Kishore Sharma further said that all the party leaders and cadres are working overtime to become a number one political force in the state.He appealed to the people of the state to join the BJP crusade against corruption, misrule, separatism, communalism and the cult of gun, saying BJP is the only party in the country which preaches and practices genuine democracy and secularism and believes in the principle of justice and equity.
