With regard to inquiry going on in the killing of Engineering student Gowhar Nazir of Zainakot Srinagar, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Tuesday clarified that it is solely a magisterial matter and we anticipate the truthful outcome of this enquiry and will obey the outcome of judicial report with respect and regards. In a statement to CNS, Spokesperson CRPF Aishish Kumar Jah said that ,”with reference to the news published in some esteemed Newspaper titled:- “CRPF gives ‘clean chit’ to its men” and likewise Dated 04/01/2016 regarding alleged killing of youth by CRPF personnel in Zainakote on 07/11/2015, It is pertinent to mention here that Judicial Enquiry which is the most trustworthy instrument of establishing fact in our system, will definitely bring about the actual cause behind the death of deceased youth during agitation. Also it is to mention here that it might have been some misinterpretation of the discussion with Media Persons with CRPF Officer regarding this issue since we did not opine on the issue as it is being published in the news. We have not issued any such Press Release/ statement in this matter which appears similar to what is being published in the article. We believe, the statement appears to be the result of misinterpretation.We never gives clean chit to our men.
Now it is solely a magisterial matter and we anticipate the truthful outcome of this enquiry and will obey the outcome of judicial report with respect and regards. Voicing any pre-occupied opinion on this matter will be deemed as premature.
