Continuing efforts to personally monitor healthcare in government health institutions, especially in remote and far-off areas of the State, Minister for Health and Medical Education, ARI and Trainings, Choudhary Lal Singh today visited Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bani and inspected its functioning.

Director General of Indian System of Medicines, Dr. Abdul Kabir Dar, Director Health Services Dr. Baljeet Singh Pathania, Director Family Welfare Dr. Baldev Raj Sharma, Mission Director NHM Dr. Mohan Singh, and Deputy Director Health Services Dr. Ajay Gupta besides other senior officers accompanied the Minister.The Minister issued on spot instructions to Block Medical Officer to ensure proper upkeep of the hospital. He asked the CMO to ensure that the doctors night stay at their respective headquarters so that all emergency cases are properly attended. He also reiterated to strictly monitor referral cases to the hospital.

Stressing on doctors and paramedics to be more responsive and prompt towards patient care, Choudhary Lal Singh urged them to redouble their efforts and ensure that patients get all necessary care and attention, adding that no laxity or carelessness will be accepted in this regard. He said “Government will not hesitate to initiate stringent action against those who are undisciplined or negligent towards their duty”, he maintained.Terming collective approach and team spirit as essential for success of any institution, Choudhary Lal Singh asked all medicos, paramedics and the management to work in tandem to meet responsibilities of their profession.Earlier, the Minister also conducted a public grievance redressal camp at Basholi.In the camp, people of Basholi town and its adjoining areas put forth their genuine demands before the Minister which include upgradation of lanes and drains, uninterrupted power supply and regular supply of ration in the depot and power supply to far-off villages.Choudhary Lal Singh gave patient hearing and assured them that these would be addressed on priority basis.
