In order to ensure smooth conduct of Republic day celebrations in District Budgam, a review meeting under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Mir Altaf Ahmad was held today. The meeting was attended by SSP Budgam, Mr Fayaz Ahmad Loan, Commandant 50RR, ADC Budgam, Sub Divisional Magistrates Beerwah, Khansahib, Chadoora , CPO, CEO, CMO, Engineers of PDD,PHE, R&B and executive officers of all municipalities.It was decided in the meeting that the main function shall be held at sports stadium Budgam where the chief guest will hoist the national flag and will take salute at the March Past. The contingents of J&k police IRP,CRPF, FIRE, RR, School children ,Ladies Police, Fire & Emergency Services ,HOME GARD and NCC will participate in the march past .The meeting held threadbare discussion on arrangements like seating, barricading of the venue, drinking water supply, electricity around the venue, sanitation and heating arrangements.The Chief Medical Officer was directed to deploy an ambulance with men and machinery and lifesaving drugs at the venue on the day of rehearsal and on the Republic Day as well.
