Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, Sukhbir Singh Badal today said that the SAD-BJP combine would fight the 2017 assembly polls on the development plank and form the government for the third successive time by securing a majority. S. Badal was interacting with the media persons at the sports stadium in Panjgarain Kalan. He also extended New Year greetings to the people of the state on the occasion.Terming SAD as a party of Punjabi’s and commoners, he said that only Chief Minister, Punjab, S. Parkash Singh Badal understands the feelings of the people of the state and no other party and leader can ever match him in his understanding of the people’s problems and caring for the interests of the state.
Responding to a query, the Deputy Chief Minister said that only SAD has the interests of Punjab and Punjabiat at heart whereas the Congress on the other hand has never cared about the welfare and interests of the state so it is futile to expect any pro-Punjab step from congress. Taking a dig at Former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, S. Badal said that the Captain Amarinder Singh is an irresponsible leader who is not in anyway concerned about the safeguarding of Punjab’s interests but whose sole focus is to capture power which the people of Punjab won’t allow.After this, the Deputy Chief Minister visited the residence of Former Chairman Market Committee Kotkapura, Late Mr. Nachhattar Singh and extended his blessings and shagan during the marriage of his granddaughter.
On the occasion, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Mantar Singh Brar, Halqa Incharge Jaito Mr. Parkash Singh Bhatti, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Malwinder Singh Jaggi, SSP Mr. Sukhminder Singh Maan , Director Markfed Punjab, Mr. Gurchet Singh Dhillon, Chairman Punjab Youth Development Board Mr. Parambans Singh Bunty Romana, Chairman Market Committee Kotkapura Mr. Jaspal Singh Maur, SDM Kotkapura Mr. Harjit Singh and Member Zila Parishad Mr. Nirmal Singh Dod were also present.
