The Zila Sainik Welfare Board, Samba today organised an impressive function to facilitate and honour Veterans and Veer Naris. Additional Deputy Commissioner Samba, Pawan Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion while Brig Harcharan Singh, Director Sainik Welfare was the guest of honour.CO 129 TA Bn, Adm Comdt and other officers from Station Headquarters Samba were also present in the programme.The function was attended by 40 veterans who included gallantry Award winners, Veer Naris and children of Ex-Servicemen who were to receive various incentives given by the Centre and State Government under the various welfare schemes. 

Besides, 06 Non Pensioner widows were also given suitable financial help by the Army.The ADC assured full cooperation from civil administration and called for collective effort by administration, Deptt of Sainik Welfare and Army for resolving issues of Ex-Servicemen and their dependents. Director SWB informed the gathering that various steps are being taken up to include new schemes and enhance benefits to the veterans and Veer Naris and special Drive has been undertaken to computerize the database of veterans and veer Naris.Additional Director, Col SS Pathania conveyed his gratitude and thanks to all participants for taking out their valuable time to attend the function.
