Highlighting the role of youth in nation building ,the Minister for Industries and Commerce Chandar Prakash Ganga today stressed on empowering the youth and providing them enabling environment for realizing their potential .The Minister was speaking at the Annual day function of MIER Higher Secondary School in Vijaypurhere today.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister called for promoting moral education in educational institutions and acquainting the students with our cultural heritage.Mr. Ganga said that all Government and private institutions should redouble their efforts in imparting quality education to the students. He asked the teaching fraternity to help students imbibe good values and also provide conducive environment for their overall physical and mental development.
While highlighting role of parents in the life of children, the Minister said that parents should motivate them to achieve their goals and become good citizens of the country. He also asked the students to remain focused in their studies and participate in extracurricular activities for their overall development. He said that by adopting positive approach, they will also be able to contribute in progress of the nation.Principal of the school presented the annual report highlighting the achievements of the school.Earlier, students of the school presented a colorful cultural programme.The Minister also distributed prizes among the best performers of the school in academics as well as in extracurricular activities.Among others, CEO Samba, O P Bhagat, Principal, staff members, students and parents were also present on the occasion.
