Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Dr. Asgar Samoon visited Govt. Medical College and SMHS Hospital. He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr. Farooq Ahmed Lone.Later the Div Com convened a meeting which was attended by Heads of the Departments of various specialties, senior police officials, Medical Superintendents of Associated Hospitals and officials of various engineering wings.Prof. Kaisar Ahmed Principal Govt. Medical College Srinagar presented the scenario of developmental works going on and the SOP followed for security of the hospitals. Suggestions regarding overall improvement of patient care and reducing the patient doctor trust deficit were given by all present in the meeting.Acceleration in the ongoing civil works was also discussed. The Divisional Commissioner was also apprised of the status of superspeciality hospital and it's commissioning. The OPD services and the surgeries in these superspecialties is already going on in the SMHS hospital at present. The members sought public cooperation and participation in delivering quality healthcare.
