SD Vidya School in Sector 49, Noida, witnessed an influx of information. A presentation was made by BRICS International Forum to the students of class 11th and 12th. Presentation contained political, geographical and cultural information about the BRICS countries. BRICS countries are Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The whole aim of this presentation was to create awareness about BRICS countries among the young generation. It was a concentrated effort to reach out to the young people and let them know about the importance and power of BRICS countries. On one hand USA is trying to garner all the resources to its advantage. On the other hand rest of the world is trying to stabilize itself and not let USA take leverage. BRICS is one effort where the combined power of 5 countries, when put together can bring a enormous change in the world’s economy.
Students of SD Vidya School were absolutely delighted about the program as they were exposed to information that was previously not known to them. Information about India was known to them as they had studied about it in various forms. Information about Brazil, Russia, China and South Africa was new for them and they welcomed it. The presentation gave them an opportunity to explore higher education in various countries. Many students inquired about the various courses offered in Russia and China. This presentation also provided a platform for the students to participate in various cultural exchanges with BRICS countries. Mr. Anand Goel from BRICS International Forum said that it is an excellent opportunity for the students to explore cultures and opportunities outside India. With the student exchange, one will be exposed to the different culture of BRICS countries and this will help the students to develop and mature themselves into a better person. He gave the students an opportunity to participate in various projects to strengthen youth relations and cooperation within BRICS countries.
