Senior Pro-freedom leader and Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat today visited several areas including Kralpora and Barzullah baghat. He was accompanied by party senior leaders.According to a statement issued to KNS, during the visit, Zaffer Akbar Bhat paid glowing tributes to martyrs. Addressing gatherings, expressed deep outrage over the murder of a political activist by the Village Defense Committee (VDC) members in Chenab Valley. He demanded immediate disarming and disbanding of all Indian army backed VDCs and said VDC members under a planned strategy are creating strife in society and are strengthening Indian illegal occupation with force and terror.

“In past too, the VDC members gang-raped a minor girl in Kishtwar and murdered a boy in Doda. They are involved in threatening people, killing and rapping the women. These inhuman acts by the VDC members amply prove that puppet government has given them a freehand to do whatever crime they want to do. Mufti does not want to incur wrath of Jana Sangh forces by taking action against these criminal elements,” Zaffer said addressing the gathering.

He said that RSS and Shiv Sena parties have long term plans to get Chenab valley areas vacated from Muslims. The VDCs on the instructions of these Hindu fanatic groups are harassing and terrorizing the Muslims to make their life miserable,” he said.He said that the way VDC members armed by Indian army are killing Muslims of Jammu province, there is every apprehension that Hindu extremists would go for mass massacre of Muslims like that of 1947.Zaffer appealed to the functionaries of human rights organizations to come forward and take cognizance of the plight of the Muslims in Jammu province and make the world aware about the atrocities and excesses being perpetrated on them (Muslims) by the Hindu extremists and VDCs.
