One day Awareness Programme on Packaging for Export was organised by Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute (J&K) Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India in association with J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) here today.The programme was attended by about 50 MSME unit holders along with budding entrepreneurs and representatives of various Government Departments.Director MSME Development Institute Virinder Sharma highlighted the importance of improved packaging in the present scenario of exploring the possibilities of spreading the local products globally under the view and vision of "Make in India". He also assured full support of his department to all existing and upcoming enterprises for promoting exports and improve packaging techniques.
Director JKEDI, Dr M.I.Parray also highlighted the importance of better packaging of commodities to improve their market value and export .He encouraged the participants to avail maximum benefits of such awareness and training programmes organised by MSME.Rajesh Jain, Chairman Federation Chamber of Industries, Jammu expressed his gratitude to MSME for providing a platform for local MSME unit holders and sensitize them about the latest techniques and aspect of packaging. Technical session of the programme was covered by Joint Director, Indian Institute of Packaging, New Delhi Dr. Tanvir Alam.
