Member Legislative Assembly, Mohammad Khalil Bandh, today visited District Hospital Pulwama and took stock of ongoing construction work of additional block being executed with an estimated cost of Rs. 25.60 crore.MLA directed the executing agencies to gear up their functionaries and speed up the pace of work on the project for its timely completion.During his inspection to various units of the hospital, Bandh asked the management of the hospital to maintain hygiene and cleanliness in and around the hospital which is pre-requisite for health of the patients and others as well. He also asked them to ensure better diagnostic and treatment facilities to patients who throng the hospital from far off adjoining areas.Earlier, the MLA inaugurated gen set for 100 bedded District Hospital which would help the doctors conduct operations round the clock.The Legislator also sanctioned Rs 4 lakh for purchase of Elisa Reserve Blood Bank.During his visit, several deputations met the MLA and apprised him of their problems seeking an early redressal.Bandh assured the people that their genuine demands would be taken up with the concerned authorities for necessary action.
