Minister for R&B, Floriculture, Gardens & Parks Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari  inaugurated Ladoora-Juhama motorable bridge in district Baramulla during his extensive tour of Rafiabad today.The Minister was accompanied by Former Minister Mohammad Dilawar Mir, MLA Rafiabad Yawar Mir, MLA Baramulla and Javed Hussan Beigh. District Development Commissioner, Yasha Mudgal, Director Floriculture, Talat Parvez and Chief Engineers of R&B, PMGSY Kashmir, MD JKPCC also accompanied the Minister.During the inaugural ceremony, the Minister was informed that the Ladoora-Juhama bridge over river Jhelum has been completed by the JKPCC at a cost of Rs 13.11 Crore and will serve as a bye-pass for the traffic and decongest vehicular movement in Baramulla town. The R&B officers further informed the Minister that the 4-Span RCC Bridge with a length of 176 metres will ensure a shortened journey for the people of Rafiabad to Srinagar. The Minister was told that with the inauguration of the bridge, one of the major demands of the people of the area has been met by the present dispensation.

The Minister also asked the R&B officers to expedite completion of an under construction bridge at Mazbugh-Ladoora road over Nuallah Puhroo being constructed at a cost of Rs 7 crores under RIDF-16 scheme of NABARD.During his visit Mr Bukhari directed the Director Floriculture to examine the demand of upgradation and maintenance of Cariappa and Bagh-i-Islam in Baramulla town.Mr Bukhari said every effort will be made to ensure development of high quality roads, bridges and parks for the people of the State. He also announced construction of Nagabal bridge at a cost of Rs 4.50 crore, the construction work for which will be started very soon.The Minister also announced Rs 4.50 crore for the construction of Jatti Bridge at Baramulla. He said that widening of the road from Kanispora to Ladoora will be taken very soon.Earlier, the Minister, during his day long visit to various areas of Rafiabad constituency including Dangiwacha, Hib Dangerpora, Mazbugh, Rebban, Ladoora etc, addressed a number of public gatherings at Nadihal, Hardchanam and Zethan.Interacting with the public, the Minister, on the demand of people, announced many projects of public importance. At Chanam, Mr Bukhari announced construction of Branwari bridge and 5kms long Ringpath road.       

The Minister also asked the Director Floriculture to examine the demand of development of a park on two acres of land at Soin Saidnar Rafiabad. He also asked the Floriculture Department to maintain the compound park of Department of Fisheries at Zethan. The Chief Engineer R&B was directed to initiate the process of construction of a motorable bridge over Naullah Hamal at Chapdaji Rafiabad especially to provide connectivity to Government High School Zethan. He also announced construction a foot bridge near graveyard Zethan. However, the Minister said that the land for the development of approach roads shall be provided by locals.The Minister directed the R&B officers to convert the under construction foot bridge at Hub Dangerpora into motorable bridge for Light Motor Vehicles under State Plan.  

On this occasion the Chief Engineer R&B was asked to initiate construction of Hardaschanam-Ringpath road.The R&B officials were directed to construct a bridge at Bramain Chanam. The Minister also asked the Irrigation and Flood Control department  to formulate a comprehensive DPR for sewerage and drainage for Dar Mohalla to Chakla Rafiabad.The DDC Baramulla was directed to submit a proposal for reconstruction and upgradation of Ziarat Syed Malik Bukhari at Nadihal under pilgrim tourism plan. He also assured the residents of Shah Mohalla Nadihal who are facing problems due to land sliding that all possibilities would be explored to relocate them at some safer place.Meanwhile, the  DDC Baramulla was also asked to constitute a team of Rural Development and Revenue officers to conduct a survey at Nadihal Shah Mohalla in order to ascertain the genuineness of the demand put forth by a cluster that they be included in Social Caste category.Later the Minister chaired a meeting of all sectoral officers at Dak Bungalow Baramulla. During the review meeting, the Minister took stock of the preparedness of the District administration especially stocking of winter supplies by the CAPD. He also got briefing from officers on supplies of electricity, water and ration.
