MLA Rafiabad, Yawar Dilawar Mir has urged the need to further enhance the outreach of banking services to the people.Speaking at the District Consultative Committee/ District Level review meeting of banking institutions working in district Baramulla today, Yawar Mir called for opening of bank branches in all the non bankable areas of Rafiabad Constituency. He said now that RBI has liberalized the formalities for opening of new bank branches, the Banks should be proactive to cover all the uncovered areas. He also urged for installing more ATM units for convenience of the people.
Yawar Mir enjoined upon all the sponsoring agencies and line departments to sponsor loan cases without any delay, so that people don’t face hardships.He also asked the banks working in the district to improve their Credit-Deposit Ratio which is much below the set RBI norms.He also urged for implementation of the Pradan Mantari Jan Dhan Yojna and PMs Mudhra Yojna Scheme in a mission mode to give boost to the rural economy in the area. Cluster head JK Bank, Altaf Ahmad, Manager Foreign Exchange Department Anil Kumar and District heads of various line departments were present in the meeting.
