BJP National Secretary Tarun Chugh today slammed PCC president Capt Amarinder Singh for issuing threats to Punjab officers.Reacting to Capt Amarinder's threats to DTOs and Police officials, Chugh reminded Amarinder that he was neither the chief minister of the state nor the officers serving in Punjab were under his 'Royal Rule'."Congressmen calling you Maharaja Sahib, have actually pampered you so much that you have forgotten that you are no more a Royal but a common man living in a democratic setup," Chugh said adding that even the officers doing their duty enjoy some rights which were protected under the law.

Warning Capt Amarinder Singh not to issue threats to the officers serving the state, Chugh said that Capt had served Punjab from 2002 to 2007 as a Royal ruler and not only the officers but even common people of the state know that he was seldom available to listen to their problems.Chugh said, Officers and Punjabis know that the government woke up at 12 in the noon in your regime to down its shutters at 4.00 PM and what followed was not a secret for anyone and everyone living in the state."It is the prerogative of every political party to hold a rally and show the support it enjoys among its cadres and people of the state.  You seem to be finding excuses for a Dec 15 match as it seems already decided in favour of SAD-BJP combine which is going to hold a largest-ever rally at your home turf Patiala while you are finding it tough to muster support for your 'coronation' at Bathinda."I advise you to concentrate on your party which is in shambles and get prepared for a third consecutive defeat, Chugh said.
