The Punjab Government issued instructions to the district education officers to start departmental action against all those employees, working on the basis of certificates from fake Universities. Disclosing this here today Punjab Education Minister Punjab Sikander Singh Maluka said that written instruction to all the district education authorities has been issued. He said that 21 universities have been enlisted as fake by the university grant commission (UGC). He said that the Punjab Government would not consider certificates of these fake universities while appointing a candidate for the government service. He said that district Education Authority would be responsible for the scrutiny of the certificates of the employees at the district headquarters. He said that District education officers would strictly implement the instructions so that an imposter could not get government service through bogus certificates. He said that universities which has registered as fake by the UGC included :Maithili University/Vishwavidalaya, Darbhanga, Bihar. Varanaseya Sanskrit Vishwavidalaya, Varanasi (UP)/Jagatpuri, Delhi, Commercial University Ltd. Daryaganj, Delhi. United Nations University, Delhi, Vocational University, Delhi, ADR-Centric Juridical University, ADR House 8J, Gopala Tower, 25 Rajendra Place, New Delhi-110008, Indian Institute of Science and Engineering, New Delhi, Badaganvi Sarkar World Open University Education Society, Gokak, Belgaum (Karnataka), ST. John's University, Kishanattam, Kerala, Keserwani Vidyapith, Jabalpur (M.P), Raja Arabic University, Nagpur, DDB Sanskrit University Putur, Trichi, Tamil Nadu, Indian Institute of Alternative Medicine Kolkatta, Mahila Gram Vidyapith/vishwavidyalaya, (Women's University) Prayag. He said that the complete list would also be seen on UGC website Education Department has also urged the students and teachers not to attain fake certificates from the bogus universities through illegal means.
