Senior Congress leader and former union minister Manish Tewari yesterday met the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Capt Amarinder Singh. They had a detailed discussion about the prevailing political scenario in the state.Tewari also briefed him about various issues concerning the state which, he said, the party must take up aggressively. The two leaders said that the Congress was on a firm footing in Punjab and was set to return to power in the ensuing assembly elections scheduled to be held within a year.Tewari was accompanied by Pawan Dewan and other leaders from Ludhiana included Gurmail Pehalwan, Palwinder Singh Taggar, Satwinder Singh Jawaddi, Baljinder Singh Bunty and Vinod Bathla.
