Welcoming the resumption of dialogue process between India and Pakistan, Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) president and MLA Khansahib Hakim Mohammad Yasin today said there is a need to institutionalize the dialogue process so that vexed issues like Kashmir are solved. In a press statement issued here, he said, “The ice was broken because of political authorities (PM Narendra Modi and PM Nawaz Sharif) met recently for few minutes. It is a good beginning as Kashmir is a political issue and only political authorities can solve it.”
“Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj is visiting Pakistan which is a welcome step and people have lot of expectations with the visit. It is good that ice has been broken, but there is need to carry forward the dialogue process,” the MLA Khansahib said.He added Kashmir is a vexed issue and nobody expects it to be soled overnight. “But there is need to institutionalize the dialogue process,” the PDF chief said.Hakim Yasin suggested that the dialogue process between the two estranged neighbors can remain uninterrupted only if it is not held hostage to domestic politics.
