With an aim to create awareness among the farming communityabout the role of soil testing and judicious application of chemical fertilizers for agricultural purposes, Department of Agriculture, Doda organised a function to mark World Soil Health Day at DC Office, Doda.MLA Bhaderwah Daleep Singh Parihar was the chief guest on the occasion. He inaugurated Automic Absorption Specto Photo Meter for analysis of Micro Nutrients in soil, besides inspecting Soil Testing Lab and Mushroom Demonstration Centre.While addressing the gathering, MLA laid down the benefits of using organic fertilizers and asked the farmers to take the utmost benefits of the schemes being implemented by the State Government for the welfare of farming community.The MLA distributed Soil Health Cards among the farmers hailing from all parts of the district. The experts from department of Agriculture and scientists of KVK informed the farmers about the importance of farm yard manure and micro nutrients in order to maintain the soil health for increasing agriculture production.Additional District Development Commissioner, Doda Narinder Singh Bali and Chief Agriculture Officer, Doda H K Razdan also attended the programme.
